A few months ago, Kirstin Rose DeWeber asked me to take her senior pictures. Not just your average senior photoshoot though, she brought tons of props to give it an earthy, old fashioned feel. To make the shoot even more unique- she got permission from the owner to do a photoshoot at Daydream Farm, a mansion + acres of fences, gardens, and fields full of horses, hay, and wheat. It was beautiful.

The theme of this shoot? Vintage. Kirstin is a photographer herself, with a successful little business of her own. I edited these shots more her style, and I actually had a lot of fun doing it. I love how they turned out!

The Hudson Family - {Black Hills Park}

After several computer problems, busy weekends, and vacations-- I'm finally here and ready to update the blog over the month of July! I'm going to let the pictures do the talking, but I just wanted to say that the Hudson's were an adorable family. The two boys, Jake and Luke, were hilarious little men who didn't seem to like the camera very much. Luckily, I snuck in some cute shots when they weren't looking! We met the day of the shoot, and had a great time wandering around Black Hills Park in search of the perfect spots for pictures.

Sarah's 20th! [Birthday Shoot]

You know how it feels when you’re with someone who is all smiles and giggles, their personality reminds you of sunshine? That’s Sarah for you. Anyone would vouch for that-- her sisters, best friends, and those who meet her for the first time… like me! Her bubbly behavior just kind of makes you want to feel the same way she does, and see life how she does. It's contagious.

And Sarah just turned 20 years old.

Her older sister, DJ, asked me if I would take pictures of a night devoted to Sarah. That night included a dinner at Cali Pizza Kitchen with her very best friends, frozen yogurt + fruit at 16 Handles-- which beats all else, and bowling till 1 A.M with tons of her friends and siblings. Luckily the weather was spectacular, which is really, reeeally rare in Maryland. One day it’s 40 degrees and raining, the next its 75 degrees and sunny.

After locking my keys in the car, having a slightly unattractive Starbucks worker write his number on my iced coffee, and spilling half that coffee all over my shirt, I made it to Cali Pizza Kitchen! From then on the bad luck seemed to fade, I had a great night with these girls. I had a good time chatting with them while we all talked and laughed, and they were perfect models.

A few facts about Sarah.

#1. She grew up with three older sisters, and one younger brother. I’m just going to quote what she said, because I can’t put it into better words. It’s so sweet.
“Growing up with mostly sisters and one brother was awesome. It was loud, it was fun. It was a jamboree, woot!! We teased and joked a bunch, we had sibling clicks and favorite siblings. Once we all hit our teens, things evened out and we just loved hanging as a little group.”

It’s funny, when I was around them during her party I couldn't help noticing how close she and her siblings were. Even though two of her three older sisters are married and ones in a relationship, the sister connection between them is unique-- along with the younger brother. You don’t see that often, especially as people get older. It was so sweet.

#2. She said the cutest thing to me about herself that I looooved. She thinks hair is a form of art, her form of art. Everyone has their own way of showing their artistic side, and this is hers. She loves to play with it, make up hairdos, curl, straighten, design, anything like that. I loved Sarah’s comment so much because rarely do people describe hair as a form of art.

#3. Her favorite color is yellow and neon green. I honestly guessed that before I asked her, her personality gave it away ;)

#4. Anything bright & cheery is Sarah’s thing. Especially in photos, so I was thrilled that when her sister DJ told me we were going to a bowling alley!

They're cute.

It is an ideal place for colorful pictures, so I edited the pictures with a little more “wow” then I usually do. And I gotta admit, it was fun. I love taking pictures according to the person, and I love trying new things.

#5. She likes to bake. She likes to make nicknames for her friends. She likes to look up the “word of the day” on dictionary.com and use it as much as possible. She likes going on dates with her “little” brother. She loves her church, and she loves her Savior.

On to bowling! There were so many “happy couples” all over the bowling alley, I couldn’t resist snapping a few shots when they didn’t know I was ;)

The bowling group was lively and upbeat. A few words to describe that part of the night would be: Laughter, Strikes, Gutter balls, and French fries.

Meet Brielle.

Three words to describe her? Bubbily, Blonde, [and full of] Laughter!

We drove all over the county finding the perfect spots... and one of my favorites was this field.

As you can tell, she's gorgeous. Plus the fact that she's a crazy good model. We had fun getting shots like these.

On to a new location. We drove to Black Hills Park, which has tons of paths and a lake. We wandered around and found the perfect spots :)

Kristen&Lance [Prom]

This is the first time I've taken pictures of a couple before Prom-- and let me tell you, it was something I want to do again! Kristen and Lance are so cute, especially because they've been together for so long. I like that they've been good friends for years, that they make each other laugh, that they color coordinated. This shoot was perfect... plus the cherry blossom petals and Kristen's dress.

I'm in love with Kristen's hair. Especially because she always keeps it straight, and I love it when people try new things.

Senior pictures! Interested?

I walked outside yesterday during lunch break to a warm, 77 degree day. I smiled to myself and thought, "maybe this weather will actually last."

Well that hope crashed. But I really do think warm weather is on its way, to say. And I didn't mean for that to rhyme.

Anyways, it is definitely the time for senior pictures. I don't recommend getting your best friend to take your pictures, not because I want you to ask me instead, more because this is the photoshoot you're going to look back on and many, maaaany people will see. Whether it's just one picture from the shoot or multiple, find a photographer you like. If that's me (by chance ;), I would be thrilled to take your pictures!! Honestly, portraits are my thing. You might want artsy, simple, colorful, summery, whatever-- let's go for it and have fun :) I am based in the Washington D.C area/suburbs... but I don't mind driving out somewhere new.

Just some old things (really old things) I dug up this morning as I'm avoiding studying for a spanish quiz.

#1. A book cover. I want these to be on the cover of a book.

#2. I want her to go into modeling. But then on the other hand I don't... I want her all to my own camera ;)

#3. I want her hair to grow long again like it was way back.

#4. I love the color red even though I avoid it in pictures.

#5. I love intriguing pictures. Pictures that make you think.

#6. I love the sun.

#7. I love real smiles.

#8. I hate cats.

#9. I love cold beaches. But only if I'm up north.

#10. I'm really in need of models, new models. I just have some ideas when the weather improves, if your interested please email me! 75 degree days in February :)

I've decided a lot of things this month. Well let me start from the beginning. January was horrible, and I did absolutely nothing of importance. But I've made up my mind to enjoy the winter no matter how much I hate the cold. That's besides the point-- February has been kind of nice. My life is school, basketball games, weekends full of volleyball and friends, parties, coffee, and books. I spend... or waste so much time looking for music that makes me happy in this weather. I've decided I love Erin McCarley, Lydia, and The Script these days. Random fact :)
AND God gave me one completely incredible day that was 75 degrees and sunny. I've been praying for that all winter no kidding. and IN THE MIDDLE OF FEBRUARY. I cannot describe how happy I was. Made my life. Plus I had the day off school.

And yes. there was Valentines Day this month, which was actually kind of enjoyable this year. I'm normally like the chick in the movie Valentines Day who's going insane eating chocolates with bad filling and super stressed. :)

Ok so, a few weeks ago I did a photoshoot with this pretty girl named Caitlin. You've seen her on the blog before. I mean I gotta say, these ladies on my blog could pass as models any day. It's kind of fun shooting them :)

I love her hair, it's so earthy.
Couldn't seem to pick between the two edits.

Of course I had to put one of both of us in there. :)

Winter sunsets are honestly just as pretty as summer ones. At least I think so.

So that's that. I'm hoping that's the last snow for this winter. If you want to do an individual photoshoot- $50 baby! Email me, I'd love too. They really are so much fun. Anything else, look for prices on the side of my blog.

I guess I'm just counting down the days till I can walk outside in a tee shirt and not freeze.

I guess I'm just finding ways to burn time. I re-did my room, like completely. People think its too empty this time (my room before was exploding with pictures everywhere.) But I love it. It's artsy enough, and it makes me happy :)

Me and Nicki did a five minute the other day. Sometimes we do this randomly... we're just like that.

There's something about this picture that makes me want summer that much more. Aaaahhhh. Almost there guys... almost there.

This one too. I didn't even take this, my cousin did, but I loved the unedited picture. So I got permission annnddd edited it my own way and yep. She's so pretty. Sort of like something from Vogue right?

And yep, that's about it for the photoshoots this month. I've been making new friends on my volleyball team, and I love them. We spend hours and hours together every week traveling, and they've made 2011 that much better :)

Inspired- Post #1

Eyes, chalk, wind, snow, vintage, hearts, trees, lipstick. It's winter.

Oh goodness. I have so much inspiration and ideas in my brain right now... I could explode. This weather is holding me back. I'm changing my style-- but before I jump into something new, I'm experimenting. What I mean by experimenting; I'm trying different styles in my pictures, and finding out what I love the most.

For example- I've always been inspired by clothing magazines. This past January really sparked ideas through all the magazines I've collected and studied. It's so much fun... it's kind of like my hobby to search for creative pictures in modern magazines :) Anyways, I have a few children sessions I need to post, but for now I'll stick to my personal shoots.

So, last month (my month of "inspiration" so to speak, haha) I did a photoshoot with my best friend and favorite model, Bridgette Nicole. She's always willing to put up with my insane ideas, plus she has a super artistic mind. I love her idea's during our shoots. And I love that we both love Oreo's... and that we've been friends since the days where we fought over who got which Barbie. Thought I'd add that for effect. Oh yes.

We sort of liked the idea of using pastel chalk. The stuff's awesome, I'm totally using it again in other photoshoots.

Oh oh but wait, I sort of handed my camera over to Bridgette and let her snap a few of me. Well, a few turned to a ton. I loved them so much, I decided to edit my favorites and put them up along with the shots of her. She's the brunette, I'm the
blonde. In case you were wondering, Hah.

I can't decide, but I think this next shot is my favorite from the photoshoot. I love it.

I absolutely LOVE how much simple emotion Bridgette displays when she poses. She captures the mood of the picture so well.

So, what I need from you. I need your input. Of course I'll stick to my original style for basic family, children, and couple shoots- but I like to be adventurous every once in a while ;)

I love Bokeh. Good old-fashioned Bokeh.

The Cooneys- A Family Session

Wow, I havent posted in months. For those who were wondering why I havent posted in so long, its mainly due to school and sports. Now that my fall sports are over, I have more time to upload on my blog :) Which I'm happy about; I have a lot of photoshoots to share!

To start off- I did a shoot of the Cooney family last week. Luckily, the weathers still holding up and the pictures turned out great for mid-Novemeber. They're a beautiful family, and I've loved getting to know them better this past year. They're also a hilarious mix of personalities, and being around them is such a blast and a joy :)

Caitlin and Shannon Grace are two of the craziest, prettiest sisters I know. Whenever I'm at their house we make the best memories- and I love the two of them so much.

The boys, Mitchell and Max, are so chill. They go with the flow, and make me laugh all the time without meaning to. Well, Max sometimes needs an exception- when he breaks out in song or runs around the house with his friends screaming and attacking me and Caitlin with nerf guns. You two are just too cool ;)

Caitlin Lee. She's amazing at volleyball. She's quite good at making people laugh ;) She's tall, beautiful, brunette, and one of my best friends. We have the weirdest... weeeirdest and most insane memories ever. It was the easiest thing ever taking her pictures thats all I gotta say.

Shannon Grace. She always pops in and joins hangouts-- and it just gets crazier from there. Shannon's an adorable and funny little lady who I love to death.

Ella - [Baby Session]

I really thought summer would be my time to obsessively post on my blog. Guess not. I have so much to post but my life is insane and I dont have much time. I love being busy. It makes me feel like I'm not waisting time. Anyways, Mondays are when I like to post stuff on my blog, so here's a shoot I did a few weeks ago. Her name is Ella, and she's the sweetest 6 week old I've ever met. She slept pretty much the whole shoot, which made her very easy to take pictures of. And yes, thats a bird bath. Her mom and I were brainstorming, and we came up with the bird bath. It took a while to sanitize and prep it, but I love the way the shots turned out :)

The weather was perfect, mid 70's, so she just relaxed the whole time. Actually, I think she liked sleeping outside. She smiled a lot in her sleep which was adorable.

She was also tiny. I love how the shot below captures that.

Sean & Stephanie- [Brookside Gardens Engagement]

There are eight of us girls; four in one house and four in the other. We're next door neighbors, and cousins. We call ourselves "The Compound," and we 'own' our once small, quiet, seven-housed neighborhood. We've turned it into a crazy, loud, golfcart and go-cart ridden place, with girls constantly screaming and laughing.
Our ages are 20, 18, 18, 16, 15, 14, 13, and 10... 18 & 18 are best friends. 16 & 15 are best friends. 14 & 13 are best friends. 20 and 10 are the two ends who grew up without a "partner." My family (four of the girls) moved here, next to our cousins, when I was two years old. I'm almost 16 now, so I've grown up having the most insane adventures with my sisters and cousins for around 14 years. We've made amazing tree forts, had gajillions of memorably stupid fights together, matched each other up with thousands of boys over the years, just the eight of us.
Its been crazy, but trust me, it's still just as insane now as it's ever been. The reason I'm saying all this is because the oldest of our eight, my cousin Stephanie, is getting married. Married. When I really think about it, it's sad. She'll be moving away, and there will only be seven of us now. It's also pretty exciting though, and the other day I had the joy of shooting Stephanie and her fiance, Sean, at Brookside Gardens.

They love eachother very much, displaying it through their actions and words.

Brookside Gardens has acres and acres of beautiful, flower filled gardens. It was impossible to capture the gorgeous landscape.

Yep, its pretty awesome when the couple your shooting is willing to climb up a tree for a picture.

I think this next shot is my favorite from the shoot. Although its simple, I love the backlight. :)

And yes, their was a lake. I like how this shot below looks kind of like a painting.

Kohana Marion {Baby Session}

I met Kohana for the first time this past weekend, and I love her! She is the cutest one year old girl ever, seriously. Her expressions were priceless throughout the day, and I loved taking her pictures :)

This is one of the only times I got a smile out of Kohana, but I like her serious face. Her cheeks are so chubby it makes a great picture ;)

Her eyes were stunning, they were so big and dark. This shot is one of my favorite because of her eyes.

Kohana's mom, Bethany, joined in the rest of the photoshoot. I love their expressions, and the look in Kohana's eyes throughout these shots.

Taking pictures of Kohana was very fun, and I cant wait to see her again when she gets bigger. Hopefully I'll do another shoot of her one day!

Strong Mansion Wedding: Nathan and Jen

This was the first wedding I've ever taken pictures for. Ever. Nathan and Jen are so perfect together, and they made the most gorgeous couple. I'm not exagerating. I also had an absolute blast shooting their wedding with the inspring Kristen Leigh. It was a great experience to learn from her, especially because she is one of my favorite photographers I follow (on blogger.)

When I took their engagement pictures last fall, I saw how much in love Nathan and Jen really are. A few months later, I got an email from Jen asking me to second shoot their wedding with Kristen Leigh, and I was thrilled. They have so much respect, admiration, and passion for each other, which made it such a joy to photograph them.

I arrived at Jen's house a few hours before the wedding to take pictures of the bride, all the lovely bridesmaids, getting ready.

Her hair was completely stunning.

And of coarse the bridemaids. It was hectic but fun when everyone was curling each others hair, getting their makeup done, and chatting.

We all drove together to Strong Mansion on Sugarloaf Mountain. As we pulled up, I was taken aback. The whole set up was amazing, I've never been to an outdoor wedding so beautiful. All the ladies (bridesmaids, friends, moms and servers) were rushing around getting ready. I was able to sneak in Jen's prep room and get a few shots of her.

I thought this was one of the sweetest parts of the wedding. A few of the bridesmaids were yelling that the "boys" were getting their pictures taken by Kristen in the field out the window, and Jen freaked. Her face was priceless when she saw Nathan dressed up. It was even sweeter that her two little sisters were right there with her.

Before Jen left her prep room, she read a note from Nathan. She kept laughing and giggling. I couldnt help smiling behind my camera as I shot her :)

She's was completely stunning. No more words needed.

The decorations around the Mansion and outdoors were adorable.

Finally Jen walked down the aisle with her dad, and Nathan's face lit up.

And the kiss.

The whole party. It was huge, and everyone was such good sports with getting their pictures taken.

Everything about this place was magical and stunning. It was perfect for a wedding!

The dancing was insane. I even put my camera down and went out for a few songs ;)

The final kiss of the night. Nathan and Jen have been so in love as long as I've seen them together, and it beautiful. I had a blast taking pictures of their wedding, it was the perfect "first wedding" for me to shoot. Thanks both of you for giving me this oppertunity!

my life in the past month. {Update Post}

Yep. Its one of those updates. I'm going to try to write one of these every month... see if that happens. Anyways, heres what I've been up to. Three weeks ago I went to NYC (as you know if you saw my Central Park shoot a few posts back.) Those might have been some of the best three days of my life. Well, almost. Haha. One of my friends took this of me infront of some giant red sideways box thing that was huge (in NYC). We were walking down Wall Street and for some reason I loved it.

A week later we had our final youth connect group get together. Its something my church does, and I've made so many new friendships through it! I'm sad the seniors are leaving and the group will change. Still, it was a very fun experience and it made this past school year so much more enjoyable :) Here is a shot of me and some of the girls in my group-

And I always have to post a jumping shot, right? Today me and a bunch of girls, who I love to death (went to NYC with them) went to downtown Fredrick. Sort of a final horrah. We wont be seeing eachother in a group anymore because school's almost over. Its been amazing building friendships with each of them over the past 9 months.

And yep, we're cool like that

John Caleb {Baby Session}

Seriously. I'm not trying to be a sappy photographer who freaks out over all her clients but this baby (Caleb) laughed in literally... 80% of my pictures. Thats amazing. I mean babies are normally all grumpy when I snap away, but he laughed his head off half the time :D Here are my favorites from the session...

Wind Storm + Two Beautiful Girls = interesting photoshoot

I'm so tired. I can barly type and keep my eyes open at once. Its killing me... but I need to get this post over with while I have time. The next two weeks are going to be crazy... but after them, school is over. OVER. Done!! I'm very excited and ready. Anyways, on to the photoshoot.

Theres something about insane wind + people with pretty hair. The pictures I'm posting dont show off the super crazy storm winds we were having as much, but I gotta tell you, It almost knocked me over it was so strong... and we had lots of fun. It was before a storm so it was raining during part of the shoot too (you'll see that in a picture with Bridgette.) More sessions coming up, stay tuned!

Aha! Success. Its didnt take me a month to post again... Thats good for me ;) Hopefully, as soon as school slows down, I'll be able to make this a regular thing (to post once a week.) Anyways, I have so much planned for the summer I'm going to burst!! My summer is almost four months long because my classes end around May 10th. Sooooo yeah. Once school ends you'll be seeing a lot more of me.

Here are some pictures from a photoshoot I did with Jenna, Ally, Amy, and Kirstin. Its kind of an annual thing we're starting. We did it last year and had so much fun we had to do it again. Its funny to see how much we've all changed... Here are a few from that session.
Oh and I'm getting there. I've learned more tricks about blogger, and hopefully my picture quality on my posts has improved. They still look a little pixely on here, the originals are nothing like that. Tips would be helpful...

New York City! {Central Park photoshoot}

So you might be wondering where I've been the past... month. First I went to Florida, had a great vacation for 10 days, came back to a week of school then had spring break. Then I had another week of school, then went to New York City for three days with my history class! Yeah, we're pretty amazing. We went all over Manhatten Island, top to bottom. I made some really hilarious memories, and it was a great group of girls to spend so much time with!

Anyways, me and Nicki stayed a little longer than the rest of the class. We wanted to go back to Central Park and do a photoshoot. For those of you who havent been there, let me tell you. Central park it huge. We got to walk around 1/20th of it in 2 hours! Well we were really slow too... but anyways. Below are some of the pics from the photoshoot :) You'll see through some shots how gorgious Central Park really is. A dream spot for pictures.

This was one of the most stunning parts of Central Park. The bridge was covered in vines and moss, and everything was blooming around it.

Below is a veiw from southern Central Park. The building on the far right is the Plaza Hotel.

And last but not least is my history class. Lauren (my teacher) was the one taking the picture so she is missing, but I love this shot. I love these girls!

I presume your loving this gorgious weather as much as I am. I feel guilty sitting inside staring at my laptop while I could be outside. Eek... Oh well. Actually, its been a really crazy week. I'm trying to double up on all my classes because I'm going to Florida on Friday... for 10 days (or something like that.) Its amazing to see that coming up!! Lifes so hectic sometimes working on a blog post, when I should be packing, feels nice. Below are pictures from two seperate photoshoots, I just decided to combine them and not post quite as many as I would have.

One more thing, I'm dying to take pictures for a couple sometime! Now that the weathers changing, and its been a long time since I last shot a couple/engagement session. I'm bursting with ideas ;) Email me anytime if your curious on how my photoshoots work.

First off is Kristen. I took pictures of her, Erin, and Becca. All three are posted below. We did this photoshoot a few weeks ago when it was really cold. All the sudden the weather took a twist and its 60 degrees now. But anyways I'm rambling. Here are a few of her...

Now for a different photoshoot. I took these of Ellie over the weekend, (you've seen her on my blog before.) It was about 40 degrees warmer on this day, it was a lot easier! I edited these few of her a different way than I normally would. I had fun with these pics, and added texture to the last one. Thoughts on this would be awesome =) Sorry I only posted a few from this photoshoot, I dont have time to work on anymore.

The other day I did a photoshoot with Nicki. We were looking at Deliahs magazines and thought it would be fun to do a 10 minute dress photoshoot. It was freeeeezing, but somehow she survived. I love how the pics turned out though! We found some neat spots. We wanted to have a vintage theme to this, thats why my edits might be a tiny bit different than usual.

What a weekend. {Update}

Wow, where do I start? First, I just want to say that I was rooting for the Saints... and they did amazing. Second, I love all this SNOW. 30 inches came down on Saturday, and I definently wont forget this. I have never seen so much in my life! I thought I was going to die just walking to my neighbors house- which was only around 150 feet away. Fun times. Even better, I got school off for the next couple days because another foot it coming!
Anyways, below are a few pics I took after the storm. Its sunny, and theres 2+ feet of snow outside my window. Its really beautiful actually. All you people who hate snow, I dont get it.

Wow, finally posting! I did this photoshoot with three beautiful girls, Liana, Bridgette, and Ellie. We did a few outfit changes throughout the photoshoot, and all in all we were outside for a looooong time. Luckily it wasnt terribly cold, we had good weather for Maryland.

Anyways, meet Liana. Shes funny, beautiful, and a classic blonde I would say haha. Love you girl ;)

And this next girl, Bridgette, is someone you've seen on my blog before. We do photoshoots all the time, and its always fun. Shes a very close friend of mine, and I love her to death! Shes very photogenic too. Her and Liana are sisters.

Now for Ellie. Wow, where do I start? First of all, were very oppisite... most of the time lol. She loooooves jewelry, bright colors, and shes very outgoing. I wear one pair of earings and have a hard time desiding if one necklace with that is too much. She walked up to me with 4 necklaces on and a bunch of braclets... I just laughed at how different we are!! Thats what makes our friendship so much fun though, I love hanging out with people like that. Here are a few shots of her.

For a prop, we used a guitar. Balloons and guitars are my favorite props ever. They add so much to a picture!

Here are a few of me. I'm not sure who took them, either Bridgette or Liana! I just handed one of them my camera when I went to pose.

This last one if probably my favorite from the photoshoot. The sun wasnt very bright that day, so I couldnt get a good sunflare though. Oh well, I still like it :)

A New Year...

Its 2010. Twenty Ten, Two Thousand Ten, not sure what to call it yet! Its actually really exciting. Its already been another decade. The past ten years are full of wonderful memories for me. I remember New Years Eve night in 1999, when a new century was about to come. I remember when I met some girls when I was 7, and they are my best friends to this day. I remember seeing a tornado, breaking my huge fear of snakes, pulling my first all nighter, tripping and falling all the way down the stairs, flying a tiny airplane for my 12th birthday, and other random stuff :)

Anyways, when it comes to photography, 2009 was really the year I grew the most in it so far. I got my first SLR at the end of 2008, so I used it a ton this past year. I got hired for my first photography photoshoot, and found out thats really something I enjoy doing. Its my favorite hobby and a super fun job! So, approximately one year ago, on January 2nd, I took this picture.

Snow! Andddd Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas Eve!! Wow. I remember a month ago I started listening to Christmas music and thinking it was going to take a longgg time for the Holidays to come, but nope. It came way to fast! Today is my favorite day of the year (I dont really know why, mainly because its the last day before Christmas, and I love Christmas.) When Christmas day comes, after me and my family opens our presents and stuff, I get sad. 365 more days to go till I can do this again. Still though, I always have a super fun time hanging with my relatives in the afternoon on Christmas day, something we only do all together about once a year. So, have a very merry Christmas, and enjoy all the wonderful food it brings ;)

Anyways, this past weekend I did a photoshoot with my sister and our friend, Jessi. We had a super fun time taking pictures in the 2 foot deep snow, and sledding all day! I figured out a way to make my pictures clearer on my blog, so you should be seeing a difference from now on.

And this last picture was just for fun. When it got dark, those crazy girls ran back outside. I caught a picture of them like this :P

So...wow I havent posted for a while. 15 days. Eek! Life has been, what can I say, insanely busy? I'm now on my last week of school before Christmas break, which means teachers pile on lots of homework. Yipee. Anyways, my cousin got married this past weekend and I took pics at his wedding. All I can say is that is was so fun. Their main photographer was an indoor photographer, so we never went outside to take pictures. Not as much my style but the pictures turned out neat :) I loveloveLOVE taking wedding pictures though! I'm super excited too, I'll be second shooting some more weddings in 2010. That will be amazing. So anyways, below is only one, sorry! I would post more but I seriously dont have time. I cant WAIT till next week! I'll try to post more from the wedding and catch up on some other photoshoots. Hope you all are having a fun Christmas season!!

Practice Session with Nicki (Dream styled)

(The first thing that comes to my mind when I look over these pictures is a "Dream" style. A lot of the time she's looking off or daydreaming, which is the feel I wanted for this shoot. Let me know if you like it!)

This past weekend I did a single person session (practice) shoot with my friend Nicki. We bought balloons for fun, I absolutely LOVE balloons in pictures. Out of every prop I could ask for, that is my favorite. Anyways, here are some of the pics I took of her. She took some of me too, they will be on her blog soon!
I figured out why my pics look so blurry. The process I go through to make them bigger stetches them somewhat. Sorry about that, I'll have to keep on doing it until I learn a better way.

Wow. Thanksgiving break is almost over. All I know is that I reallllly needed it! The past couple weeks came with tons of homework, so the break was so nice.

I also did tons of shopping. Below is a random photostrip pic of one of my trips with my friends :) Sorry if its blurry, blogger again =/

I didnt do a big post on this. Today (Friday) we went to buy our Christmas tree! We always buy it the day after Thanksgiving. It was so cold, winter is definently here. I had fun though, here are a few pics. (Woooow. This one is SO blurry. The original looks nothing like that. Arrgg)

Sorry for the lack of posting. Ive been trying to catch up from vacation and its taken me a while! Anyways, I just bought a 50mm 1.4 lens so my pictures will be more clear, have better focus, and the graininess will be mainly gone! These are the first pics I took with it, so I still have a lot to learn ;) I'm really excited to see how my new lens will work for my upcoming photoshoots.
Oh and one more thing, blogger stretches out my pics, making them look blurry =/

Last week I went to California with Megan and my dad. I had an amazing time!! We went to so many beautiful places. I only posted some of the places we went to though. Los Angeles, Hollywood, Disneyland, Santa Barbara, Huntington & Malibu Beach, and so much more :D I really REALLY miss it, the weather was perfect. We rented a convertible which was...amazing and funny. I didnt have time to make all these big, so I left it on original. Sorry :P This was definentally one of the funnest vacations I've ever been on! (Oh and I might post more later... not sure)

Above it Los Angeles, it was an amazing city! I walked around a lot during the day and found so many cute places. Below is me and Meg at Disneyland. We went for a day and had so much fun ;)

This pics were taken in Santa Barbara. It was one of the cutest places we went to. There was a ritsy little downtown that had palm trees everywhere. love! It was also right by the ocean, which made it even more beautiful.

This is Hollywood. I'm glad I went, it was fun :) The town itself wasnt that impressive, but I saw a lot of places I've only dreamed of seeing! Guamans Chinese Theatre (with all the celeb footprints) and stuff.

And this is the end. I had a terribly long flight home and guess what, we had to land in Denver where there was a snowstorm and our plane was delayed. Agh. Big difference than Cali thats for sure. I'm glad to be home though, I got a little homesick even for only a week.

This past weekend I did a photoshoot with Jen and Nate. They were both awesome models and I had a lot of fun taking their pictures at the Fredrick Fair. Yup... a fair in mid-September lol. It was really amazing to take pictures there because it was so summery even though its fall.
